Tuesday June 2

Today we drove to Chandler Arizona to see Patricia and Pasquale. They have another big bright Arizona house. They had it built about 4 years ago. It is a really nice house, with a great big patio that they spend most of their time at in the tolerable weather. They live in a gated retirement community with a clubhouse that provides every activity you could think of. Pat made us a nice lunch and we had a real nice visit.
Then they went with us to check into our Motel and we followed them to Joe and Carol's house. They live in Scottsdale just outside of Phoenix. They also have a very nice house. Carol fixed us a great dinner and we just sat around and shot the breeze. Joe showed us some more of his pictures and his art work gets better as he gets older. He is teaching art classes for a few hours a day and he loves it. Carol is going to to retire in January. They have grass in their back yard. It looked funny. We went and saw Dan's house and two of Alice's brothers live in the same area. It is like family west.
As much as we like the weather and I think the landscaping is really neat, we didn't see anything that would want to make us leave our children and grandchildren and move here. We would like to come out and spend a week in March and see everyone again and just look around, but it is like every other big city with the traffic and the stores and old people drivers.
Tomorrow we are headed off to Henderson. It will just be a day of driving.
