Bozeman Montana

It was a short drive from Billings and we had time to go to the Museum of the Rockies.
Bozeman is a big college town. I think that is all they have here. The Museum also had a planetarium and we went and saw the show about the Spring sky. I personally think that a show about the winter sky would have been more appropriate. We watched the clouds build all day and right before we pulled up to the Motel the sky opened. The rain wouldn't be soooo bad but the temperature is only 53. It is cold and damp. The low for tonight is supposed to be 37 and it is going to snow in West Yellowstone. We are directly north of that so I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't see a few flakes tomorrow. I am giving up on vacations in June. No matter how I pack it is not right. We don't have enough warm clothes. I figured on being able to wear sandals and capris for a few days. I don't think that is going to happen. We ate dinner in the room again because it is just raining so hard. They also are predicting storms all night with possible baseball sized hail.
It is a good thing that I made reservations in advance. All of the Motels are booked with oil workers. I guess they are going to North Dakota to work. There are 2 new sources of oil that were found. If it stops raining we are going to go out and look around Bozeman although I don't think there is a lot to see except the college buildings.

  1. If you want to travel in June, you need to go South.. that is where the sun & warmth is! ;-)
Glad to hear you had a nice B-Day dinner.
